📢 Call for Nominations: Executive Director (Athletics)

Lighthouse Christian Athletics is seeking nominations for the position of Executive Director (Athletics), also referred to in some external cases as Athletic Director. This vital leadership role will oversee all athletic programs at Lighthouse Christian Athletics, working closely with Sport Directors, coaches, parents, and the Board of Directors to ensure the continued growth and success of our Christ-centered athletic community.

The Executive Director will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of all Charger sports programs, ensuring alignment with our mission and values. The role includes oversight of program, program leadership, team and athlete management, compliance, fundraising, and community engagement.

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong commitment to Christian values and the mission of Lighthouse Christian Athletics
• Experience in sports program management, coaching, or athletic administration
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners
• Understanding of the unique needs of homeschool athletic programs
• Prior involvement with the Chargers as a parent, coach, or player is a plus (but not required)
• Comfort level with evaluating vendors, including evaluation and implementation of back-office support software and services

Compensation:

This is a part-time paid role (20–25 hours/week) with salary, time off, and paid holidays.

Call for Nominations – Board Treasurer Position

Dear Charger Community,

The Board of Directors is seeking nominations for the position of Board Treasurer (Booster Club). This is the board position formerly held by Aaron Schwarz. This is an excellent opportunity to serve the Chargers in a vital leadership role and help guide the strategic path, financial health and accountability of our organization.

Board Treasurer Responsibilities will typically include:

• Overseeing the financial management of the organization in partnership with the Executive Director and staff.
•  
• Ensuring accurate and timely financial reports are presented to the Board.
• Reviewing and recommending approval of the annual budget.
• Monitoring financial performance against the budget.
• Ensuring compliance with all financial and legal reporting requirements.
• Ensuring annual tax filings are completed on time by our partner accounting firm
• Supporting the preparation of annual audits or financial reviews.
• Acting as a financial resource for fellow board members to ensure sound decision-making.
• Perform all other duties typical for a member of the Board (attending quarterly meetings, voting on key matters brought to the board for vote, providing input on strategic matters brought before the board for discussion).

Expected Time Commitment: 8 to 10 hours per month
