Program Overview
Chargers Girls and Boys volleyball is a purpose-driven organization where Christian values take center court. Our unwavering commitment places Jesus at the forefront, with the belief that life lessons are best learned through a spiritual lens and eternal values.
With a dedicated focus on instilling these principles, our goal is to make a profound impact on the local community by spreading the love of Jesus Christ through the positive influence of both athletes and coaches. Guided by the principle of 1 Corinthians 10:31, we strive to ensure that everything we do is done for the glory of God.

Eligibility
Who can play Chargers Volleyball?
ELIGIBILITY: To join Chargers Volleyball you must be a full-time homeschool student.
For MSHSAA play, all athletes must be homeschooled for at least 365 days, no more than 2 credit hour (classes) of outside instruction at a public or private school.

Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Camps, practices, and home games will be at Calvary Baptist Church in Republic, Mo, or at Allison Sports Town in Springfield, Mo.

What time of year does this program run?
Open Gyms: Last Friday January through June @ AST 12:00-2:00

Girls camp: 5/18 & 5/19 Price $35

INSURANCE
Do I need insurance?
Yes. The team only carries a general liability policy, you must have your own medical insurance.

What is your typical practice schedule?
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday Evenings
Games
How many games are in a typical week?
A typical week will contain 1-2 game nights. Most nights will consist of more than one game per team.

Are uniforms included in registration or are they an additional fee?
Uniform packages will be purchased by the parents through BSN.
equipment
What additional equipment is required?
Knee pads and athletic shoes are required for all practices and games. If you would like recommendations for volleyball shoes (not required), please contact your coach.

What additional costs might I incur?
- Travel costs (fuel, food, and sometimes lodging, depending on location)
- Optional fanwear for athletes, friends, and family
Overnight Travel
How much overnight travel can I expect?
- 4-6 tournaments that will require overnight travel for the 2026 season.
Parental Involvment
What are the volunteer expectations?
Lighthouse Christian Chargers is a volunteer organization. Each family is expected to contribute to the betterment of the program.
The typical areas of need for volleyball include Coaching, Game Clock, Line Judges, Score Book, Statistician, Video, Fundraisers, Concessions, Gate, Fanwear, Social Media, Special Events (year-end parties, banquets)
