Basketball JH Boys 7th

Heartland regional Feb 26-28. Our first game will be at 1:30 on Thursday so it would be possible to drive to Wichita Thursday if you want to avoid staying in a motel Wednesday night.

We are in Division 2 of 14u and our 8th grade boys are in D-1. Full schedule is not available yet but they did provide first game info so teams would know if they needed to arrive the night before.

Reminder - 7th grade will practice tomorrow from 7 to 9AM. No practices on Wednesday this week.

We do not have an answer yet about whether we can practice on Friday, Jan 2.

Strafford has not posted their schedule yet for Jan 5-9 but I expect we will have a game early next week.

The 7th grade boys are invited to practice with 6th grade Monday, 12/22 from 7 to 9am. We need to focus on having everyone learn our offense well enough to use it in games. They are also requested to practice Monday, 12/29 from 7 to 9 if they are in town.

I have given diagrams of our plays to most of the boys and plan to give them to the rest of the boys Monday. Please have them explain the offense to you to help them understand it better since teaching is often the best way to learn something. You could also ask them to draw the diagrams for you.

The next practice after that will be either 1/2/26 Friday or 1/7/26 Wednesday. I'm waiting to hear if a gym will be available Friday 1/2/26. Since we may have a game the next week on Monday or Tuesday, it would be nice to get a practice in. I will let you know as soon as I find out.
