4th Annual Winter Slam Tournament

December 12 & 13, 2025

Welcome to our 4th annual Winter Slam Tournament hosted by Lighthouse Christian Chargers! We are excited to offer this regional tournament for competitive basketball in a fun, safe environment. It looks to be a very competitive weekend of basketball, homeschool style! We hope you enjoy your time in Springfield, MO.

Community is a major theme for Lighthouse Christian, and through this tournament we open our community to yours. We wish you a productive two-days of basketball that strengthens your program's basketball prowess and community.

Our goal is to shine the light of Jesus Christ to all we encounter, including referees. Refs have a challenging job, they will do their best and not criticize players, coaches, or fans. Please encourage your players, coaches and fans to no criticize referees.

Ages

We anticipate 14u, 16u and 18u, both Boys and Girls.

Eligibility for this tournament follows NCHC Homeschool Guidelines.

When

December 12 & 13, 2025.

(Friday & Saturday)

Games will likely start at 9am on Friday and end Saturday by 5pm.

Facility

All games will be held at The Fieldhouse Sportscenter, located at 2235 W. Kingsley St, Springfield, MO 65807.

Games

3 Game Guarantee, most likely 2 games on Friday and 1 on Saturday.

Tournament Brackets

Brackets will be released in early December.

Gate Admissions

1-Day Pass, 2-Day Pass, Student, Senior Citizen and Veteran discounts along with Family maximums.

Free for 5-yrs old and under, Adult means HS graduate and older.

Team Fees

These are the anticipated fees for 2025 pending overall program involvement:

18U - $325/team

16u - $300/team

14u - $275/team

Awards

Trophies for 1st Place will be awarded in each Division.

Concessions

Concessions (snacks, drinks, meals) will be offered by The Fieldhouse.

Registration

Registration, once open, will be available via this webpage in the top right corner.

Coaches and Staff

There will be a Coaches and Staff hospitality room with snacks, drinks and food.

There will be a Coaches table upon arrival to pick up admission bands, shirts, programs and verify payment.

Game Guidelines

Games

-         Games may start up to 10 minutes early (except the 1st game of the day)

-         Each team is expected to provide a bookkeeper (Home) or clock operator (Away)

-         Each Team is expected to provide basketballs for their warmup

-         2 referees per game (HS teams may have 3) | All referee decisions are final

-         During games all court floors, including boundaries, must remain cleared to ensure player and referee safety

-         We require that fans, families & non-active teams stay off the courts between games, quarters, timeouts, halftime

-         We allow the next game’s teams (must be in uniform) to shoot at halftime; however,

Cheer Teams may perform a 2-minute routine during halftime; players must give the full court to Cheer during their performance

 

Clock Management

Warmup: 18U/16U/14U - 10 minutes

Quarters: 18U - 8 min | 16U - 7 min. | 14U - 6 min.

Halftime: 18U - 6 min | 16U - 5 min | 14U - 5 min.

Overtime: 1st – 4 minutes | 2nd – 2 minutes | 3rd – First Score

Timeouts: 3 full (1-minute) | 2 half (30-second)

Timeouts: 3 full (1-minute) | 2 half (30-second)

 

Verse and Prayer at center court before each game

All games follow regular HS clock operation (stop clock for dead ball situations)

If a team is winning by 25 points or more in the 2nd half, a running clock is implemented. If the lead drops below 20 points, return to normal clock operation

 

Home Team       higher seed in bracket or listed first on Round Robin

     wears white, provides game ball, keeps official book at the Scorer’s Table

Visiting Team     lower seed in bracket or listed second on Round-Robin

                 wears dark, runs the clock at the Scorer’s Table

After the game one person from each team must text in results to (417) 343-1717
